Dedication to Her Majesty the Queen

With the sad news of Her Majesty the Queen passing, I wanted to shed light on all the good she did for the animals.

It was well known that Queen Elizabeth II was a big lover of corgies. She was also a lover of horses, tortoises, jaguars, a sloth and an elephant (some of these were kept in London zoo).

The Queen was gifted her first corgie at the age of 18 from her parents, she then went on to have more then 39 corgies, all descending from her first ever one. The Queen also had a few gun dogs. Her horses would travel with her across the country so she could still go for her morning ride.

The Queen was patron of many different animal charities around the United Kingdom. These included: Ayrshire Cattle Society of Great Britain and Ireland, Dogs Trust, Jersey Cattle Society of the United Kingdom, Royal Jersey Agricultural and Horticultural Society, Royal Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (RSPCA), The British Horse Society, The Fell Pony Society, The Kennel Club, The Labrador Retriever Club, The Red Poll Cattle Society, The Royal Guernsey Agricultural and Horticultural Society, The Royal Pigeon Racing Association, The Royal Society for the Protection of Birds (RSPB), The Shikar Club, The Shire Horse Society, The Yellow Labrador Club, and finally The Thoroughbred Breeder's Association.

Thank you for your loyalty to this country and to the animals in it Your Majesty, you will forever be missed.

RIP Queen Elizabeth II (1926-2022)
